The Wushu-Kungfu events at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) have seen thrilling performances, with Ogun State athletes delivering standout results across multiple categories.
NANQUAN Male Event Highlights
In the NANQUAN Male category, Bright Sakwe of Ogun State clinched gold with a score of 6.73, defeating strong contenders. Other top performers included:
- Sidiq Bolaji (Kwara) – Silver (6.53)
- Tuayenrin Miracle (Bayelsa) – Bronze (6.50)
- Joshua Enokpae (Edo)– 4th (6.37)
Notably, Ogun State’s victory over traditional powerhouses like Delta State marked a significant achievement.
DAOSHU Male Taolu Event
Ogun State continued its impressive run in the DAOSHU Male Taolu (Demonstration), with Christian Rapheal securing silver (6.27), The event results were:
- Edo State (6.63) – Gold
- Ogun State (6.27) – Silver
- Delta State (6.21) – Bronze
CHANGQUAN Taolu Event Dominance
The CHANGQUAN Male Taolu event further cemented Ogun’s dominance, as Christian Rapheal claimed gold (6.47), adding to his earlier silver. Edo’s Godwin Onaifo (6.43) took silver, while Rivers’ Prosper Osazuwa (6.37) and Bayelsa’s Ohwo ThankGod (6.33) secured bronze.
